Abstract

Introduction:Hepatitis B and C virus infection represent serious health and social problem i R. Macedonia.
Goal:To determine the incidence of HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV and Treponema pallidum antibodies in blood donors from the Eastern part of R. Macedonia who have been repeated blood donors and at the same time they are possible risk of transmission of posttransfusion infections.
Conclusion:The donated blood from repeated blood donors is with low percent of risk for transmission transmissive diseases compared with the risk of alreadly donated blood for the first time. The incidence of transmissive diseases in blood units taken from repeated blood donors is with a low perecnt and it is for HbsAg 0,96%;for anti HCV is 0,66%; for anti HIV 0%;and for Teponema pallidum 0,009%.
