Abstract

Solutions in chemistry are considered as homogeneous systems composed of at least two different substances: the solvent and the soluble compound(s). It is of outmost importance to understand the properties of the solutions, since all chemical reactions and all mass-transfer phenomena in chemistry and medicine occur from solutions. Hints are given about preparing solutions, while formulas are presented for quantitative estimation of the solute content via different means. In addition, we present formulas for dilution of solutions, while we present also several practical examples. The lecture is suitable for chemistry, medicine and pharmacy students. Relevant literature about importance of solutions in Electrochemistry is also provided. The lecture is written on Macedonian language.
