Abstract

We report in this work on some important redox features of CoQ-0 in buffered and non-buffered aqueous media. Depending on whether a buffer or non-buffered solutions are used in the electrochemical experiments, we observe quite different redox behavior of Coenzyme Q-0, which is used as a system for important photosystem based bioelectrodes, as reported in . Am. Chem. Soc. 2019, 141, 13, 5102-5106. We also take insight into the reaction of Coenzyme Q-0 in alkaline media, and the antioxidative potential of its derivatives created upon reaction in 0.01 M NaOH. Some of the data are published in international book "Novel Developments in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis"
