Abstract

Cathodic stripping mechanism coupled with adsorption of reacting ligand is very often met when a given metal ion and lipophilic drug form a stabile complex. We provide entire MATHCAD simulation file of this complex mechanism for calculating square-wave voltammograms. Alongside to the parameters related to the electron transfer step, the adsorption constant of the Ligand, and equilibrium constant of metal-Ligand complexation reaction can be evaluated from this model. This model is one of the most complicated systems ever solved under conditions of square-wave voltammetry.
