Abstract

Cataract is the number one cause of blindness at the moment. It is the biggest challenge for modern ophthalmology and according to the World Health Organization with the 20/20 program, efforts and efforts are made to make this condition of a high percentage of blindness from this disease drastically reduced and to make more patients operated under the new FACO method and will immediately receive a sight. The benefit that is besides personal for the patient itself and in the whole heals the patient is huge for every state from a social aspect because we know how much it is blind person in addition to that hundred can not contribute to the state is spent on social programs for blind people. From here, the cataract as a social problem on the one hand and as a personal one is another priority of modern ophthalmology to overcome this condition Cataract is a blurred or non-transparent area in the normally clean lens of the eye. Depending on its size and location, it may impair normal visual acuity. The lens is located inside the eye behind the iris. Normally, the lens focuses the light on the retina, which sends the image through the optic nerve to the brain. However, if the lens is blurred, the light shines so that the lens can no longer focus properly, causing vision problems. Blurry of the lens occurs due to changes in the proteins and the lens’s hairs. In the initial phase of cataract development, patients note that the visual acuity of near is better than it was. All cataract symptoms may be due to some other eye diseases, which requiresan examination by an eye doctor. It has been proven that chances for cataract development are smaller if eating good and healthy foods, not to expose too much to ultraviolet radiation, to wear protective glasses, and to control and treat the sugar disease well.Cataract surgery is a method of choice for treatment and is generally a safe and effective procedure. The early detection of cataracts is crucial to enable lighter operative procedures with a lower percentage of possible complications
