Abstract

Neogene-Quaternary sediments in the south-western part of the Vardar Zone represent a logical continuation of the Neogene-Quaternary sediments present in the central and northern part of this important geotectonic unit of the Republic of Macedonia. These sediments are represented by different lithological members due to the different intensity of the tectonic movements and other factors that existed in this part of the Vardar Zone.
In this paper is made correlation of the Neogene-Quaternary sediments of Mariovo and Tikvesh Neogene Basins.
