Abstract

On the field of technology, information, transport, trade,
finance and public health, globalization has reached a level where, together with
all its advantages, there were new kinds of security risks, far different from the
present ones (so called conventional risk. Military technology and weapons with
its use as one of the risks, the last decades has become easily accessible because of
the collapse of the mighty armies of the world, but also due to rampant production
and sale of weapons as a result of numerous conflicts in the world. Weapons has
become a basic tool used in armed conflicts motivated by the expansion of militant
nationalism, ethnic cleansing, ethn ic and religious conflicts, religious
fundamentalism, transnational terrorism, drug trafficking, money laundering and
more.
