Abstract

Lakavica graben is one of the youngest morphological sinking structures in the
Republic of Macedonia, which, during the Neogene and Quaternary, are deposited sediment
masses with total thickness of 300 m. Neogene sediments are represented by
conglomerates, gravels, sands, clays and siltstones, which belong to the upper Pliocene.
Quaternary sediments are represented by: alluvial, proluvial and diluvial layers with
thickness up to 100 m.
This paper presented lithostratigraphic structure of Neogene and Quaternary sediments in
Lakavica graben.
