Abstract

This strategic partnership addresses to enhancing digital integration in learning, teaching and training in the secondary education; supporting ICT-based teaching; supporting teachers in acquiring or improving the use of ICT for learning; promoting OER in different languages as horizontal priorities. Also as field specific priorities the proposal is related to creating innovative approaches to teaching technology-rich environment with particular focus on Mathematics.

The proposal also addresses to the field specific priority to strengthen the profile of the teaching profession, dealing with complex classroom realities and adoption of new methods and tools. It supports pupils' involvement in learning and offers a pedagogical approach where teachers will become mentors of creativity. Besides teaching knowledge in classroom, the proposal suggests teachers making students become creative and teaching them how to include mathematics in real-life situations.

The international data of the students' performance in mathematics from our country is on a very low level. It is a national priority to increase the level of knowledge in this key competence since it is very important for the overall process of education in the country. If we want to become closer to the educational systems in European countries it is of great importance for us to undertake some actions and reforms in the process.

We will try to improve the learning and teaching process in Mathematics through new and innovative strategies, by promoting access to and learning through open educational resources. As an effective method for enhancing the skills in Mathematics we will try to develop an interactive book with problems that are relevant to the curricula used in secondary schools in the country. At the same time it will include already developed free softwares and applications that can be used as steps towards solving the problems
